A rumble erupted from the great beast's throat, and Agradeleous opened his maw in a big yawn. Clambering to his feet and stretching out like a cat, he began to amble lightly, snaking between trees where he could fit. He stopped where the sun peeked through the trees, taking in the warmth with a stoic happiness.
"I need to do something," he resolved to himself, "If I have to be inactive much longer, I'll lose my mind."

Justice was in need of allies. Allies that weren't afraid to slaughter the elves or at least die trying. But the thing was, he was all out of ideas to look for them - everywhere else seemed to be packed to the brim of do-gooders and prancing fairies... where are all the dark and powerful monsters when you need them the most? Pondering on this thought, Jay strolled silently through the forest.
The deeper and deeper he ventured, the more he liked what he saw. The once green and flowery trees were getting darker, jagged and leaf-less. Yes... he must be heading in the right direction - surely there would be no shining elves in this neck of the woods. And boy, was he correct. In the near distance he could hear the gust of a powerful yawn, far too great to be coming from a mere fairy. Eager to find what produced the yawn, Justice walked on...
Dark eyes widened, steps became slower. Of course, just as he had expected... this was no weakling elf or sidhe, this was a battle-scarred monster. A dragon. Nodding his head slightly, he approached, feet now making sure to snap a few twigs on the way, making his presence known to the creature. Justice wasn't afraid, no, he was annoyed - annoyed that he had not come looking in this part of the land earlier. If he had known things like this dwell here, he would have.

Agradeleous tensed, turning his serpentine neck to focus one menacing eye on the intruder.
"Human?" he growled, "You must be suicidal to wander so close to me." Shaking off the last of his lethargy, he swung around to face the half-demon and loosed a roar, his breath carrying small hints of the flames he could readily call forth.

The reaction he had expected was indeed the reaction he received. Feeling that the dragon wasn't exactly pleased by his presence, the half-demon froze in his tracks, readying himself for what was to come. He felt his hood being blown from the top of his head, strands of hair then proceeding to quiver and flicker around rapidly at the sudden gust blown at him by the dragon's roar. Normally Justice wouldn't have stood for these actions... but when dealing with a dragon, well, he has the right to at least feel slightly uneasy, doesn't he? As the roar subided, He cleared his throat to speak. "Death is something I have come to terms with... friend" he spoke, his words confident and partially true... he had come face to face with death, in fact, death was sitting on the couch at Kie's place... "Now... surely an intelligent being like yourself would like to at least hear a business proposition before eating the person about to give it".

The wyrm's mouth closed, and then his lips parted in a snarl. There seemed to be an abundance of these human-types that had the gall to walk up to him. Most of those meetings ended bad for the dragon, but he wasn't about to let down his hackles just yet.
"Business proposition?" He made a harsh sound, akin to laughter. "Arrogant human. What could you offer me that I couldn't just take?"

Amilie had heard the roar and had made her way towards it. Staying in the shaddows she watched as Justice spoke to a dragon.
<Interesting> she thought to herself.

Justice narrowed his eyes. Perhaps this creature wasn't going to be useful to him afterall... but it was worth a try. " A part of this kingdom?" he tried his luck, his words released almost immediately after the dragon had spoken " I mean... surely if you could take that, you wouldn't be here right now...". After that, his lips stayed sealed, awaiting the reaction of the creature. Surely it was tempting to anyone, to control part of the land - especially for a dragon like this, confined to the depths of the dark forest...

Amilie did not have to strain to hear what Justice said.

Affronted, Agradelous bristled. But then he relaxed as the words sunk in. He was reminded of his attempts to take what he wanted, and the disasterous failures at that. The old Agradeleous slowly began to return, the one who lusted for gold and destruction.
"Indeed." A rasping noise, his parody of a chuckle. "You seem to have me there, for all your foolishness." He trained his eyes on the half-demon, his expression softening only a little. "So, are you saying you can give me this, then, or are you just bargaining for your measly life."

Amilie raised an eyebrow.
<Where would Justice get land from to give to this creature?>

Justice felt relief wash over him, noticing that the creature had at least the tiniest amount of interest in his proposition. He hadn't come here looking for a fight... but if the dragon continued with it's attitude, he'd be more than welcome to start one...
"I won't lie to you, Dragon" he begun, hands now sheltering themselves from the slight breeze the darkness of the forest brought with it " I cannot 'give' it to you, so to speak, but our combined effort can achieve this, of course. I have a very secure plan at the moment, I'll admit it is missing a few pieces, but you, are one of them....". His words were true. With a dragon on his side, Meli Court would soon be under their control...

Amilie frowned and lent forward slightly.
<Plan? What Plan?> she thought as she listened. She reached up and began to play with the ring on the chain arround her neck.

"Hmmmmmm...." Despite himself, he couldn't stop a hint of pride from finding its way into his voice. "I see how a sensible human might need me." He closed his eyes in mock contemplation for a moment, but in reality his mind had been made up already.
"I am nobody's pet," he began, "and I've no desire to rule over you pathetic lot. However, for the chance to slaughter those cursed humans and the promise of a better home than this blighted forest, I just might be able to help you, little one."

Justice could do nothing but wait and hope as the dragon seemingly pondered on the thought. As his voice finally bellowed out once again, Jay nodded his head in total agreement. "I believe we are more alike than you think" he added, a hand now venturing out of his pocket to grasp his hood and pull it back up onto his head once more, his face becoming shrouded in shadows " humans are something I don't particularly enjoy the sight of either". Despite part of him being one, Justice had never considered himself on the same level as humans, he despised them with great passion. "Well that is good to hear, now... a first stop would be Meli Court, from there, he have the defense and the space to found a great army. Of course, then, there is nothing stopping us from acquiring the rest of this place..."
