Forest of Chepi
At one time the forest of Chepi (Algonquin name meaning "fairy.") was home to two sidhe courts. One side of the Forest was home to the CATORI (this is a Hopi name meaning "spirit.") Court this was a purely sidhe court and all those within were very beautiful and the other side was home to the MELI (this is a Zuni name meaning " bitter.") Court accepts those who are perhaps not as 'pure' or as perfect as the Catori. A fierce river runs through the middle of the Forest.
Legend has it that the bridge that once allowed creatures from either side to cross was destroyed by Diormus the king of the Meli when he discovered his wife Ramina had betrayed him with a member of the Catori court. He flew into a jealous rage and killed both his wife and the man with whom she had betrayed him. For many years a great war waged between both courts for generations until the new King of the Meli Michail fell in love with the Queen of Catori’s daughter Kiresh. Peace was declared and the pair married effectively uniting the two courts and the bridge across the river was rebuilt.
A few years later a daughter was born. The daughter solidified the joining of the two courts but when she was a teenager she fell in love with a human and ran away. Many years passed and a great tragedy befell the united Sidhe courts. Kiera’s mother and father were both assassinated and the courts were left rulerless. The unity of the two courts collapsed and the result was anarchy.
Now the courts are once again divided and living at opposite ends of the forest. After hearing, of her parent’s death the young ruler returned to claim what is rightfully hers and is now facing one of the greatest challenges of her life.
Getting the once powerful and organised courts united again and make sure those who assassinated her parents and those who wish to destroy the harmony that once joined the two courts are brought to justice.
Other creatures are now integrated within both courts so they are no longer just Sidhe courts, Which in itself will prove problematic for the new ruler as she must now must now prove herself as a fit leader for them all.
