Her fur is a light tan color with her spots being black and the fur on her tummy and chest is white just as her hair is and the fur on the inside of her ears and the tip of her tail and eyebrows. Her nose's tip is black just as her lips are and her upper lip is cleft to her nose just like a cats would be. She also has numerous white whiskers that poke out from her cheeks and out from above her eyes in her eyebrows. Most of her skin is a light pink and this can been seen on the inside of her ears. Here eyes are slit like a cats and are yellow with a blue iris and will reflect light at night. Her arms and legs and paws are 100% feline and bend and move just like a cat's would. She also has a set of claws on each of her paws that are about an inch long and retractable as well as very sharp. Her teeth teeth are also pure feline and her voice forces her to speak like a cat most of the time. She struggles a bit with any human tongue so more often than none she unknowingly injects a mew into her speech. Her torso's shape is that of a normal human girl about the age of 20 and the same can be said for her facial bone structure but that ends her singularities to humans right there. Genetically her species evolved up from cats and has not ties or links to humans what soever. The tag on her ear was put on her at a very young age and she claims it has her name on it but she cant read so she doesn't know that it says "23." Ignore the collar.
Skills/Strengths:
Being a cat, she is very fast, agile, can leap twice as high as she is tall from head to tail, and has unrivaled sense of touch smell and hearing as well as superb night vision. Her sense of touch and her whiskers allow her to sense things threw vibration in the air so it is hard to sneak up on her if you make sudden movements, she is also a very light sleeper and can withstand very extreme heat. She can also fit inside most anything that her head can get into. Her hide is very thick and tough and can withstand the bite or claws of another sphinx very well. She also has the strength to bring down a full grown horse on her own.
Weaknesses:
Due to the fact that she is technically a species of big cat, she has all the basic weaknesses of one such as she has slit pupils which means that her night vision is great but she cant see well in the daylight and if something is too bright she is easily blinded. She cant walk upright very well and can only stand like a human for a few seconds. She doesn't have any fingers so she cant hold things or use most weapons, she is deathly allergic to chocolate and cant taste things that are sweet. Although she has the IQ level of a human, her thoughts and instincts and mind is 100% feline, thus she is easily distracted, confused, and she is dangerously curious which leads her more often than not into a bad situation. She also needs to sleep about 14 hours a day to be fully rested and requires a lot of meat or protein to keep going. Her fear of water has lead to her being unable to swim and she also does not hold in her own body heat well so she becomes very weak in extreme cold conditions.
Likes:
Cat nip, fish, meat, sleeping, string, yarn, rope, vines, anything that dangles like a loose rope, friendly people, riddles, being petted, warm temperatures, dairy products, gnawing on things, shinny things, small rodents and ungulates (prey).
Dislikes:
Water, being cold, loud, noisy things, bright light, ill tempered or mean people, being caged, clothing (hard for her to remove).
Background:
Kitty, as she calls her self, was separated from her pride at a very young age by poachers who wrongfully hunted her group with out realizing that they were after sphinxes and were instead mountain lions. They caught her alive and they soon realized what they were after would be more valuable alive so they tagged her and started to call her 23 (due to the fact that she was the 23rd live catch they were trying to sell) and carted her around, trying to sell her as a pet. It was from these men that she learned how to talk like a human. One day the men were killed in their sleep by thieves who accidentally freed the young sphinx and she escaped into the woods. Due to her simple mind and how young she was she can only remember bits and pieces of the ordeal and has sense forgotten about mankind and how dangerous they can be. She spends most of her times in the woods living out her life as any sphinx would but has as of late found it hard to find prey in the woods for reasons unknown and thus has been moving closer and closer to civilized areas, killing horses and other livestock with out knowing the harm she is causing, she is simply looking for a meal.
Other: Idiots Guide to Sphinxes.
The sphinx is a creature that is shrouded in myth and fame but is unfortunately not as exciting as they are made out to be. Many claim they have wings and can fly or have magical powers when this is simply not true. It is also not correct to call them a creature that is part human part cat as they are genetically speaking. Average litters are from one to three cubs and they will stay with their mothers until they are at the most two before venturing off on their own. Their average prey consists of almost all hoofed mammals and smaller mammals or birds or lizards and even bugs. Some have been known to actively hunt in groups to kill and consume wolves and have no fears of canines. The sphinx is a terrible swimmer and has a general fear of water they cant see the bottom of or know is deeper than they can comfortably walk threw. The hotter it is outside, the more active they become. Sphinxes do not hibernate but spend most of their summers and falls feastinting to gain enough food reserves in their body that they can make it threw the colder months when they get slowed by the temperatures. They have a very high IQ the animal kingdom and are thought to even be able to posses human intelligence, in fact their vocal cords are similar enough to a humans that they can even speak broken English, although this is a difficult task. Most sphinxes retain their kitten like playfulness and curiosity and look at humanoids as a source of amusement and curiosity. If one can find a sphinx that talks they will most likely be greeted warmly and then confused by one of their favorite riddles or tongue twisters only later to learn that this was a distraction for it to obtain their food or other objects of desire. If caught and tamed, a sphinx will make a very loyal and loving pet and take well to captivity so long as they are not to smothered or restricted.
